Dunster by Candlelight 2019

6 December 5pm - 9pm, 7 December 4pm until 9pm

When the whole village turns its back on the modern day and is lit by candlelight. Two days of Christmas entertainment and shopping in a unique medieval village setting. Visit Dunster Castle dressed for Christmas, see street entertainers and live music, enjoy a range of street food and of course stock up on your Christmas presents.

The village is closed to traffic and park and ride facilities are available, or why not take a Steam Train! See:

Bat's Castle Guided Walk

On the first Wednesday of every month join local walk leaders on a guided walk to Bat's Castle, Dunster. Starting from the National Park Centre Dunster, you will be guided through hidden parts of the village and into some wonderful scenery on the outskirts of Dunster. You will learn about the rich history of the area and come across some breath-taking views. Please note this is approximately a 4 mile walk with some steep inclines in places, suitable footwear is essential and bringing a bottle of water is recommended.

Dates: 1st May, 5th June, 3rd July, 1st August, 4th Sept and 3rd October.

Start: 11.00am, from the National Park Centre Dunster on The Steep.

Watercolour Painting Classes with Chris Howe

Learn the art of watercolour painting with talented local artist Chris Howe. Beginners are very welcome, but this session is suitable for all levels of experience. Chris teaches in a very friendly, approachable way. All materials are included, you will create a wonderful picture and have a lot of fun too. You can attend just one session or come each month and see the improvement as you learn more.

 

The sessions are being held on Thursday afternoons at the National Park Centre in Dunster on The Steep from 2pm to 4pm on: May 16th, June 20th, July 18th, September 19th and October 17th. Sessions cost £15 each and all materials are provided.
