The Old Priory Cottage

This self-catering cottage was built as part of the 12th Century Benedictine Priory. Attached to St George’s Church, it’s located in an ancient special walled garden. The church clock chimes the hour! Sympathetically restored, it retains its original features in conjunction with modern conveniences. There’s a spacious sitting room with a Victorian log burner and farmhouse kitchen. A book-lined stairway leads to a twin bedroom, bathroom, and a double/twin with en-suite shower. Traditionally furnished and decorated throughout, there’s a small private courtyard and private access to the church garden. This special property will appeal to guests who enjoy National Trust and Landmark Trust Cottages. Resident dog Earwig shares the garden.
